    Hi need some advise

I have a oase biopress 10000 with a 3500 lph pump , now I want to run this to my diy shower but pump not big enough.
Been told a 6000 or 8000 lph pump would do the job but would they be to much for the pressure filter, pump would be about 6/7 ft away and would have to pump to 5/6 ft high I know the flow will be reduced by the time it gets to the filter.

    That's a big increase on what's supplied,
Have you tried the current pump?
    Why is it 6' ? That's a tall shower.
Is the current filter not upto the job, pond size?
    Maybe other changes aswell?

Can't exactly answer your question but I'm using a slightly larger pressure filter on my fry pond and connected it up to a 10,000 lph pump.

It was fine for a few days then all the seals burst and the thing leaks like a sieve now.

That said I reckon your pressure filter should handle it with just an 8000 lph pump and having to pump 6 foot high first.

Hi yes tried the current pump on the shower itself and not powerful enough the pond is 110cm high then the shower sits on top about 18 inch roughly 5/6 ft , pond is 12ft by 8ft 110 cm high about 6500 ltrs the main filter is an oase bio smart 18000 pressure filter is a biopress 10000 . I built a diy shower to increase the bio filtration.

The height the water is lifted is only measured from the pond surface level.
Any reduction you can achieve in pipe length and bends will limit resistance. Could the pressure filter be moved closer to the shower or vice-versa?
Also increased pipe width will help with better flow.

Iíve set up with existing pump and bigger hoses to see what the flow is like and think I can get away with a 5000lph pump to run it .
I get halfway flow across spray bar with the 3500lph pump .
