Identification of aquatic worms.
Attachment 29077
Can any members firstly identify these worms/ larvae for me & secondly tell me how to get rid of them as I seem to be overwhelmed with them,so much so they are starting to block up my pipe work. Also I think they are adding to the general buildup of detritus in the pond. Thanks.

simulidae, black fly larvae, harmless fish food and will soon be airborne and away
they eat free floating debris and hold on in place with a silk thread and they are only found in flowing waterthe slow pond build thread
