Thread: Jpd Shori

I can find the bag and I also thought I'd taken a picture, which I can't find.

Next time I'm off for food I shall take note and snap a few pics off the back of some jpd bags.

Still though, it doesn't help with what food to get next.

In my search for information John, I found a website selling saki really cheap, less than half price.

They send it out in clear bags though so you never really know.

Maybe we should just buy that!

I have seen that site Rs but never bought from there, but they are a good price being short dated or damaged packaging.

I wouldn't purchase it, 1 thing I do look for when purchasing koi food is the date of manufacture or expiry date, if it's not fresh I won't purchase it.

Most of it has a reasonably long date, but I assume those are the damaged bags which means the food may not have been stored airtight.

I buy mine from a ebay seller aquatics-warehouse who buys in bulk and repackages into smaller containers.

Saki Growth is £130 for 10kg instead of circa £165

It looks, feels and smells the same as the normal stuff.

So as a general conclusion, would coppens top koi food be a good allrounder to feed generally, seeing as it promotes good growth and colour which is what we all want?

Be nice to know of a brand that's reasonably priced [cheaper the better] that'll do the above

They are in Swansea, I know the guy who co owns it, gonna pay him a visit, I knew he was opening a place up, but didn't think he had got it started, knew he was looking at a place close to the Liberty Stadium though.

Tell you what, if you don't get on with it I'll buy it off you.

Opened food has got to be worth what, 50% off and free postage?

Pretty sure that’s the same stuff the carp co have on their site rebranded as there’s. Looks the same might be cheaper to think it’s £6 something for 1kg bag no idea what big bags are tho

Skrettings moved to france but you can get both coppens and skrettings here. https://www.purepellet.co.uk/

I believe the pellets being discussed are these https://www.purepellet.co.uk/product...ander-pellets/ which are 27.99 for 15kg.

I use shrimp and krill as my sinking pellet for warmer month mix https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F111591380665

If you're feeding your fish with a fishmeal rich diet then you might want to consider L030 as an addidional protien booster.

    https://www.bacarelexpress.co.uk/cat...t-products.php

Not sure how these products transfer into Koi feeds but there I've no doubt there have been at least the same sort of funding spent on developing fishing food as there will have been spent on Koi food so would stand to reason the products will be cross compatible.

No those pellet for 27 quid are nowhere near the same bud I use them for fishing and they are OK for that but not for feeding my koi
