    When's your Draco coming?

Mine being delivered today.... already sitting up waiting for it lol.

Took the last 2 days off work - 1 day raising the filter pit by 1 course of blocks for height clearance, and spent today piping up a mains water supply to the filter pit.

Not sure when I'm going to install the draco though, the missus doesn't know I've ordered it so will have to fit it when I have a day off and she's at work lol.

Like Christmas. Grow some nads.and do what I did and tell her you want your Christmas pressie early. That's how I got mine lol.
In the April. Haha. Fitted with in an hour after delivering. Haha.
But then had trouble. Flow problems.
I even went out and bought another pump.
    Thinking it was that.
2 days scratching my napper. Then I used jet washer on the screen.
Tony e mailed me. And told me it was an end piece of the roll on the dobbin. Of screen mesh
Apparently they coat the outer layers on the screen. With some stuff. For protection. When in transport. So my mesh was the outer layer on the roll of dobbin.
I later used the pump on my grow on qt
    So nothing wasted.
I was stressing for two days though. Haha
Good luck with it mate. You won t regret it
    Fred

    hello

draco arrive last week and i started to install it but ran out of time as I had to modify my decking to fit the drum in .

had a great dress rehearsal and got my mascerator ready. Found a work around to grip the waste pipe without crushing the one way valve on the exit of the unit.

hence I put a post on for a decent sealant to seal the exit of my vortex as due to a slide valve being installed on the main which has gone resulting in a small leak out of the 4 inch feed into the vortex.

Bought a 4 inch bung and will silicone in my waste feed next week. Leave it to dry for coupla hours then its time to get the draco in.

will put a post on soon

    Jim

Is the NRV a separate thing that slides into the white connector or is it attached as part of it? If it is separate I may have either removed it not realising what it was or not noticed it when I fitted the connectors?

Same here, I cut up a spare hose tail adapter and slotted it inside the waste pipe so I could jubilee clip it up tight without crushing it.

Years ago on the old forum "Pub People" rightly told me it was ok to use 50mm fliexi pipe on my skimmer return and I fond by messing about i could put a small piece of 50mm pipe inside so the rubber jubilee clip would grip onto something solid. Worked well for years.

I cut up a pipe and out that inside the mascerator socket with a bit of PTFE on

Can tighten it super tight and the plastic pipe takes the strain.without reducing the diameter too much.

sounds like we both got solutions to the issue.

I have just had a horrible thought I may have fitted it to the inlet to the macerator from the barrel filter waste pipe so it will stop the water flowing in from that It is not on the inlet for the Eazy Pod or the out of the macerator as I have already had water running through from the Eazy Pod out to the water butt via the macerator unless I have clamped it down and stopped it from working?
