Sounds odd as you'd have thought if he could dig a hole he could dig a deeper bigger hole unless he was claustrophobic or something
He wasn't a grave digger by trade was he and could only dig holes 7ft long 3ft wide and 6ft deep?

No idea I didn't get to meet him... at the time if the quote I was only planning on going 2 foot deep... I think he was planning on using a spade n didn't wanna go that deep
