Koi books
Can anyone recommend any decent books on koi keeping?
I am new to koi keeping but not fish keeping, just wondering if there was any decent reads on general koi keeping, koi selection/grading, koi varieties, health issues etc.

Thanks, that looks like a great book on koi health. I think i have read about people referring to this book quite a bit on this forum.
It's pricey but then again I'm finding out everything koi related is!

It's the sort of thing you want to ask for as a birthday / fathers day or christmas present.

When people were saying it was expensive I was thinking £100 + as an 18th Edition Electrical regs book is about £80 and then you need the onsite guide to go with it which is about £20 to £30
Just rechecked and the one I saw for £16 was written by someone else so it wasn't the update to the first book

I think £42.95 for a book is really expensive for a book, however it looks like this book has not been mass produced and is only stocked by 1 or 2 suppliers which is the most likely reason for this price tag.
I know what your saying about the regs books but these are aimed at businesses which always commands a higher price tag.

I bet the regs book is harder to understand as well LOL It's probably one of the worse written and layed out reference book there is as when you do the regs exam you are allowed to take the regs book in with you, the exam isn't knowing the regs it's knowing where to find the regs that apply for the situation in the book

This is why I love the 18th Edition so much.
If you go on sparks forums as a DIYer and ask "How do I do this", the response will be, "If you don't know you shouldn't be doing it, call an electrician".
By googling electrical tasks I want to carry out it will land on an electricians forum and by the time I've read their arguments about interpreting the regs, I'll know exactly what I need to do for a safe installation!
