nexus 310 leak
Hi this is my first post and i cannot find any answer to my question not even from the makers of the filter. My problem is that my nexus 310 has sprung a leak from underneath the main body. I have asked my local koi outlet and have been informed that it could be the rubber connection from the drainage pipework.but no one can tell me the size of the connection. It is not listed as a "spare" on the website, I have spoken with a rep from evolution aqua but he could not tell me. So i have to empty the filter to find out but then i have to find where to purchase a new connection and as this could take a while i do not want to leave my pond without filtration. Does anyone know the size of this rubber connection and where i could get one ???

Think the pipe for the drain assy is 1.5” pressure pipe if I remember (and if it’s the same size as my 220)
Do you know where your local koi specialist is!?, they might well have the parts you need if it’s just a fairly standard rubber boot (can’t remember how the drain tube connects to the filter body)

Have a look at DaveVR6 build thread.... He has just carried out this exact same repair on a 220.

It will be the rubber connector that connects the waste pipe to the Nexus, it will be 1 1/2 but it’s not the normal ea 45 degree rubber, it’s a shorter elbow from memory. Wouldn’t know if you can get away with the standard one though.

If it’s the same fitting as a 200 model it’s a rubber reducer then a normal pressure bend I1 1/2 inch I have one of the boots somewhere in garage it fits over the hole on bottom clamps up then the bend and pipe in other end it’s in garage il see if I can find it

Is it like this think it’s 80 mm to 50 mm something like that it used to fit over waste outlet under my 200 and bend fits directly into other endIMG_0275.jpg

Where is it leaking drain pipe inlet from bottom drain or pump fed.
Or outlet return
Or drain pipe.
I have a nexus 320. And my inlet is 4 inch
Straight coupler rubber boot
On my outlet return to pond. It's a 3 inch
To 2 inch rubber boot reducer.
Drainage is fixed pipe work
Ist photo inlet
2nd photo outlet
3rd photo drainage
4th photo drainage
Hope this helps

Thanks Fred it’s gravity fed and it’s leaking from underneath I can see the clear water running and my pond is dropping 4 inches overnight really need a replacement first before I look at it underneath and replace because my pond is heated so need to keep it running

nexus 310 leak
If it’s underneath it will be from the waste boot like I said you could give you this boot tightens onto base and an inch and a half bend into other end which is already glued up into waste pipe that drains when you clean if it ain’t that it’s got an hole in somewhere

If its underneath it wont have boots on.It will be leaking from the rubber seal that fits onto the bottom of the Nexus. Its like a tank connector.I did my mums and had to strip it out and turn upside down .Good thing is a nexus is quick to remove and theres little biological action now so no worries for the fish

The fitting Dave has pictured is what we call a clay to plastic adaptor, about £8 from a builders merchant

It’s 85- 90 mm large side 59-64mm smaller diameter side on the nexus 200 I had on the waste outlet from centre chamber this size boot fit over a fitting on drain and the bend with pipe and valve fit directly into the other end it could of all change since I did mine years ago but if it is any good to you you can have it no problem if you can see under the nexus have a look see if it will be any good to you it was a boot I got from ea yonks ago I
