    My water readings

    Good evening all,
please see some pics of my water tests taken today, my daily results have been identical so far but worry something is going on, I realise NPS will be an issue and I could well be on the verge of experiencing this, the 5 koi are flashing and appear slightly lethargic and spending time in one particular corner on the bottom, some have been jumping out but for the past few hours have stopped, Results from past 7 days have been the following

    PH 7.5
    KH was 4 now 3
    GH was 8 now 7
    NH3 zero
    N02 zero
    N03 10
    P04 2

Please view the results below to see if you agree with my findings, on Monday evening my brother will be down to do a scrape on the fish just to ensure they do not have a parasite, I was thinking to add some SB daily going forward to help increase / sustain the KH can you please advise an acceptable dilution rate please, I have seen a few conversion charts but they did not make sense to me, would this be a wise move or not ? I have checked the chlorine and none present checked with DPD4 tablets today.

    They look perfect mate.

Phosphates are higher than I've seen on my pond, but doubtful they'd affect the fish in any way or be the direct cause of the flashing.

I don't know if high phosphates have any relationship with oxygen depletion... Could be worth reading up to check but still doubtful it's the cause of your problems.

Getting a scrape done is probably the next sensible step.

Water results are good ... KH3 is nothing to worry about but if you want to up it ... then a good rule of thumb is to keep to a max of 0.02g/L per day .... e.g. 3000Gallon pond (13,638L) = 0.02 x 13,638 = 272.76 ... so for a 3000G pond you would add a maximum of 273grams (or less) of Sodium Bicarb per day to increase KH.

Scrapes from a few fish would be a good idea ...
