Funnily enough I already posted a link to these in another thread discussing how much people are prepared to pay for a Koi, and the fact that Joe public just assume if they have a Koi beyond 12" it's worth big money.

There was a similar eBay listing recently asking £5000 for a handful of mongrel Koi.

    Here's another - £5000 for 3x 15 year old Koi.

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/koi/22295...4AAOSwBIRa5jNL

I'm not sure what makes people believe they will sell at those prices, I guess they're looking at high end dealers selling similarly sized Nisai / Sansai and without knowledge of what makes a quality Koi, they price them up the same.

I don't know, the listing says Soragoi, but the black is on the outer edge of the scales whereas I thought Soragoi had black on the front edge of the scales (sorry, don't know the terminology).

Therefore to my untrained eyes it does look more ghost like.

I guess you wouldn't be lying - it is a rare one, as its the only one in the world that's in your pond!

Maybe they want someone who knows about Koi so they'll know how to cure the finrot???
