2 inch to 1 inch flexiable reducer

Can you get a rubber flexoabl reducer 2 inch to 1 inch I’ve seen inch and a half to 1 inch ones but not the one I’m after
Just I don’t know if this would work I’ve got a 2 inch drain at side of my bio which has the grids from bio inlets over it I was going to put my submersible uv in it would that work

Go to a good plumber's merchant, preferrably with the pipes you want to join, and I'm sure they will be able to supply what you need.

    I've seen 2" to 1.5" flexible reducers but not 2" to 1".

If they are not available the alternative might be to use a hosetail.

Would a 50mm to 32mm reducer fit? That's as close as I can find unless you want to go 2" to 1.5" then 1.5" to 1"?

2 inch to 1 inch flexiable reducer

I think the 50 mm to 32 mm will be a bit big I did think of using the 2 inch to 1 1/2 inch then inch and a half to 1 inch put a bit of pipe between the 2 but that would mean the uv won’t be as far into chamber would it still work

I think I have got a 50 - 32 reducer that I can see if it will clamp down on a 1" pipe for you David

    Dave,

At the risk of being repetitive, reducing from 2" pipe to 1" pipe isn't unusual so I'm sure that a good plumber's merchant will be able to help. A phone call tomorrow and then a quick drive might solve your problem.

A plumber's merchant is a good call but if they can't help the 50mm to 32mm reducer may do the trick. The one I've got clamped down but you may want to replace the jubilee clip with one with a shorter worm drive if that makes sense?

I used a 25mm coupler for electrical pipe which is measured using the outside diameter so thought the coupler would be the same size as 1" water pipe because that is measured using the inside diameter.

Maybe you could fit a bit of a 1" flexi boot coupler and then use a 2" to 1.5" reducer and clamp the 2 down together to get a better fit?

That would be good if I was aloud to drive unfortunately I’m not able to do that coz run over by a lunatic drunk driver many moons ago brain stem damage amongst other things I get lost in unusual surroundings memory loss plus I’d be a hazard can’t concentrate for long that’s why I ask a lot of questions on here probably the same ones over and over again

So sorry to hear that David I never realised.

That is why I won't even have one pint if I have to drive as it's just not worth the risk.

Makes sense as EA sell fittings for their stuff that no one else does as Freddyboy found out just recently.

I've just had another look for 2" to 1" reducers and found nothing. When I checked the fit of the 50mm to 32mm last night there was loads of space between the 32mm and the 25mm coupler so I would say if you bought a 2" to 1.5" or a 50mm to 32mm reducer a cut off bit of a 1" flexi rubber boot coupler would fit inside the reducer and clamp down nicely on the 1" item you have if you can't find the correct fitting David.

Drink driving now is an instant year ban and it stays on your licence for 10 years I think. Not that it helps you much now.

There are so many stupidly short sentences that don't act as any sort of deterrent handed out isn't there?

When I was on a car forum there was a petition that we all were signing which was saying that is someone gets a driving ban and a prison sentence the driving ban starts when the person gets released from prison and not as it was at the time to run while they were in prison or something along those lines. I can't remember if anything every happened as it was a few years ago now.
