I know. I spotted this yesterday. A million litres. That’s 45 times more volume than my measly 22k litres.

Why is my first thought; "What if one of the bottom drain pipes is leaking?"
Has to be enough profit in such a build to cover that eventuality.

There are a whole number of things that could define the difference between a pond and a lake, but to be honest most are rather arbitrary.

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
