Can you get a purifier cartridge to help raise kh
Don’t know if there’s such a thing but wouldn’t it be good if you could get a cartridge to put in a purifier that raises the kh of your water my kh from my tap is really low constantly battling to keep a descent kh my ph is usually 7.2 to 7.5

Don't know about that but I know the Finer Filter ones make great sprinklers for your patio no mater how much you try to seal the buggers up
Have a word with Vyair as they may know what's possible as you may want an RO set up (just guessing here)

I am no expert but I would imagine that you would need some form of bicarb dosing system linked to a ph monitor to dose the pond when the ph begins to drop. Plenty of people on here use this type of buffering, check mankey Sankey site too as he is the god of all things water.

If you look in the reverse osmosis/ro section of the forum, people who use dosing systems go into great detail on setup, cost etc. You should find all the info you need there as its commonly used in conjuction with ro systems.

An automatic dosing system can be built using a pH controller and a dosing pump feeding a strong solution of sodium bicarbonate from a storage tank but these systems need to be monitored regularly and recalibrated as they lose accuracy. All pH measuring systems need the probes to be cleaned frequently and to be regularly recalibrated. Very expensive systems need less frequent recalibration than the cheaper systems so don't buy on price unless you're prepared to recalibrate frequently with the cheapest ones.
I'm regularly asked about controlling pH and KH where there is a soft water supply. I advise against shells etc. because they are hit and miss. They only dissolve if there is carbon dioxide in the water due to insufficient aeration or if the pH has fallen below 7 and a pH crash has begun.
I suggest that a very simple solution to combat falling KH would be to add sodium bicarbonate daily when you first feed the koi. All you would need to do is add a fixed amount of sodium bicarbonate regularly for a week (longer would be better) and monitor how much you needed to add in order to keep the KH at a constant value. Then simply divide the amount down and add the appropriate daily amount each day with the first feed.
There is no need to measure the amount very accurately; if you keep a tub of sodium bicarbonate and a suitable measure e.g. a teaspoon or egg cup by the tub of food, this will soon become second nature. Then, each time you check your KH, if it isn't spot on your preferred value, you make small adjustments in your daily dose.
I suggest trying that method for a while to see if it's an acceptable solution, if it isn't, then sell a kidney and buy a good quality pH monitor and peristaltic dosing pump but don't forget that you will still need to monitor the pH and KH and recalibrate.

Hi Davec, I am similar to you with zero kh and manage as per Mankys thread.
I have a scoop of a known size and add one every week which keeps mine at 3 to 4.
Took a bit of fiddling and testing to get there but now I only check now and again.John

There you are. You can even work out the correct dose rate for sodium bicarbonate if you wish:

So have I worked this out correct current kh 2 dkh or 35.735 ppm target 5 dkh or 89.437 ppm so to round it up 90 - 35=55 so that’s 55 Grammys per 100 litres I’ve been using the kusuri bio balance and on pack it says to dose at 25 Grammys per 1000 gallons I’ve been using 100 Grammys and if my calculation is right and it’s per 1000 litres not gallons as on the pack I should be using 220 grammes of it per 1000 gallons kusuri must of made a mistake where it says 25 grammes per 1000 gallons it should be 25 grammes per 1000 litres
