Anybody had any experience of or using a Dream Air Source heat pump? Thinking of buying one

There seems to be a bit of confusion on this thread between the Dream and the duratec +. They are quite different!!
I nearly bought a duratec but ended up purchasing a cheeper but larger dream. The disadvantages of the Dream are:-
1. It's not an inverter unit so it's on or off - this looses it some efficiency.
2. It needs a separate external thermostat fitted unless you want to heat above 15deg.
3. You will need to fit a tray heater.
4. Some people complain about it being noisy - I haven't noticed this -mine seems pretty quiet....
I'm happy with mine but if a second hand duratec doesn't break the bank then go for that.Last edited by pip895; 17-03-2019 at 06:51 AM.

JBR boichamber->Blue eco 500 pump ->below surface return.
Blue Eco 240 -> Large MB -> Waterfall -> Planted Anoxic pond (25 baskets)

I have ordered a 8 KW dream unit is adding the thermostat on heater simple to do?
