Anybody feed this food just wondering if it’s ok I’ve been feeding the 3 mm wheat germ from queni koi and pleased with that and koi love it I’m wanting a descent summer food and the ultimate mix combines growth colour and immune stimulants so before I order was trying to see if anyone uses this food

Hi Dave,I used this last year with great results, but I did get some brown water and I put it down to the food.
Though others have used it without getting the brown water so maybe I fed too much.
Very good growth rates, actually the best I have ever had.
I have used Q/k food for a few years now and I will continue to do so,but maybe go back to Japmix.John

To be honest Dave I think the Ultimate is better if it wasn't for the brown water.
Jap mix I had no problems with as does a few on here,so maybe try small portions first.
I always buy from Q/k in 15 kg bags for the price, but maybe get a 2kg tub to try first.John

Let me know how you get on with the Ultimate as I would like to use it again as the koi loved it.John

I have been running them on cheap and cheerful multiseason. Its cheap and cheerful rebranded coppens feed.
Other than for Tosai just cant / haven't seen any difference in terms of growth / development.
For sure unless the water temps are beyond 23C in practical results I haven't seen benefit in going for a feed with a higher protein level..

Good news Mark,it only seems to be me with brown water using Ultimate, see how I get on with Premier as it's cheap enough.
