Its a proficlear premium and a bit of googling says error 44 means the drum isnt turning.could be dirt or needs lubricating or something major like drum motors gone. Cheap at that price though....andi

as the error is the drum not turning then i dont see it being an expensive fix, really only the drive motor that could be the big issue, although as its such an expensive drum surely they would of tried to fix or find the fault, not just buy a new one,one good thing is its still produced so parts should be available,,,,andi

one other thing there are bargains to be had,i have 2 drums, both not in production anymore but they both work great and i paid for both less than if i had bought the cheapest drum on the market now, andi

Thanks, I see that fault 44 meant that the drum doesn’t turn but was hoping someone knew exactly what that fault was…
Not sure if Sean if worth the risk

From the pictures it doesn’t look to have done much work if any, bit of rust in one picture, could be down to damp storage.

It does not make any sense to me !!
They have five year gurantees and if they break in that time then OASE come out and replace the faulty part. It’s a bit like when your washing breaks they come out and fix it, not send you a new one and you keep the old one!!

Hey Andi, hope this finds you well , I phoned the person selling the drum today and something isn't quite right with what he is saying, he said it just stoped working and said he thinks the seal is tight because if you help the drum move it does cycle, also he said it was installed only 6 months ago yet on the photos the stainless screws are rusty? His outher items all seem faulty, think he is bit of a delboy lol anyway for anyone thinking of having a go at it a new motor is 400 quid and new seal 120 , but the reviews on them don't seem great from what I've read

He might be a Del Boy but with 14000 feedback and 100% positive he must have successfully sold at least 60,000 items.
I've done 64000 sales and only have 10,000 feedbacks.
Also think he's being honest that he doesn't know anything about drums because if he did he'd have worded the title a lot better.
If I was looking for one of these I'd buy it and spend the money, you should end up with a perfect working drum for under £1000. That said, I wouldn't buy it unless that was the specific model I wanted, and in this case it isn't.
The perfect buyer would be someone that knows these drums inside out who can repair it on the cheap, stick it back up for sale for £900 and make £250 profit.
P.S My nickname at school was actually Del Boy!

Toaly agree and wasn't trying to say he has not sold lot of stuff, the point was why not just be honest I doubt he even has a pond , also was just a comment that if you did not know how to fix these types of thing you could soon be into thousands of pounds trying to fix it on guess work, could be motor, power supply , stiff bearing worn drive, I was gonna have a go at it if was lower price but the price of spares for it you may aswell buy unit for 2 grand and have garuntee with it, just my opinion it's hard to get a good start in koi keeping with out having your own bank lol just wouldn't want some one to keep throwing hard earned money into a bottomless pit if it's not simple fix

Agree with you too Stuffyrat!
Delving further into what you said...
1) He has a lot of pond related equipment for sale which is strange for someone who knows nothing about such things.
2) Virtually everything he has for sale is stuff people keep in gardens / garages / sheds etc, yet no 2 items he's selling have been photographed in the same location.
People who predominently sell stuff that's kept in Garages / Outbuildings / Gardens etc leave me somewhat suspicious as to how they obtained those items.
It reminded me of a car engine I was going to buy once from an engine seller, who had around 30 luxury / sports car engines for sale with pallet delivery. Then I noticed every engine had been photographed inside different workshops. Further inspection revealed one of the engines was an American Spec and had been photographed on a big concrete slab type driveway - A typical American style drive. Fortunately worked out it was a genuine high feedback eBay account that had been hacked by a scammer.
It is good practice to look at a sellers other items to try and identify if they were all photographed at the same place.
All that said, none of this really matters if you are collecting the drum and paying cash on collection. Also for something so expensive and relatively new it would be fair to ask if they have the original manual / paperwork / receipt etc.

well someones going to get a bargain as it has 1 bid lol,one of the issues with these drums is the main seal being too tight which can be solved by loosening some screws and giving it a lube, think i read somewhere that the plastic cogs on part of it are now metal after they tended to spit bits out which got stuck and stopped drum turning, andi
