Thread: Dam dog.

  1. #1

    Dam dog.

Put new decking around the pond not long ago, my dog loves running round and round the pond.

Today whilst cleaning filters he managed to slip, then rip a big hole in the cover net and fall in.

    Dam dog.

Just as well you were arround to pull him out. Our dog loves swimming in ponds, rivers and the sea but is scared of pools with vertical sides because they are difficult to get out of.
    6000g in ground koi pond
    +3000g lily/Anoxic pond attached
    29 koi (40 to 65cm)
Bottom drain, Mid water & Skimmer to Drum
JBR boichamber->Blue eco 500 pump ->below surface return.
Blue Eco 240 -> Large MB -> Waterfall -> Planted Anoxic pond (25 baskets)

Yeah, it's lucky I was close or it would of been bad. The cold water sure gave him a shock, but clearly not enough to stop him from getting back up again.

I'm pretty sure he'd try if I let him.

One of our cats walks across the frame of my pond which holds the net up and she also walks round the top edge of the pond specially when the fish come up to eat. I'm surprised she hasn't fallen off the frame and onto the net and got soaked by now. Although today she slipped off and her back legs went into a tub which is next to the pond and currently has a load of blanket weed in it. She came of with a pair of green tights on !!! I wish I'd caught it on camera. Her legs went in a fair amount before she managed to regain her balance and jump out of the tub.
