    not being funny but the rest will die maybe he should stay away from keeping any type of animal . dogs dont look after themselves either

    he is upset about losing fish and does not make any good decisions.. i hope that some of the fish will stay alive ..

    Well maybe one of the best decisions he will ever make will be to never keep fish or Animals ever again, think you
    need to try and persuade him Mirza shame the Fish and Animals can't comment .

    im holding back here , nothing angers me more than animal ignorance and animal welfare/cruelty

    Well - if even he would buy the diagnostic 5 in 1 strips (pH, KH, GH, NO3, NO2) - not as precise as specific drop tests - but giving good orientation - especially trend in measured vaues is important as it helps to PREVENT similar disaster to ever repeat - once per week 5 mins of time is all what would be needed - at cost under 10 Eur for 50 weeks tests - the very minimum really needed

    But if your friend is not prepared to do even this very minimum, he should keep miles away from any koi.

    Bottom line - if you do not know whant went wrong there is no way avoiding it from happening again......
