Have you been to dock koi in humberston just through grimsby?
Not a palace of a place by any means but fish are cracking and well priced.
Exactly the same fish pretty much that are at coastal koi. Neil travels to japan and the same breeders with dave from coastal Big.... Big, Girl! they both take from the same stock and have been doing that for years.

I'll second Dock Koi as a good dealer to visit!
Never pushy, will chat all day about anything if you've got time and has some cracking fish in, all hand picked by Neil in Japan.

our lasses old man had ferrets and he taught all my kids how to rabbit with them. plus his dogs. our old house . about 35 years ago a massive timber yard got demolished. all the rats ran for cover down our streets. and decided to live in our homes.
our lasses dad brought 2 x ferrets cut a trapdoor hole in the floor boards. put the ferrets in on leads for the night. I said next day where s the rats. he said. you won t get any anymore. the smell of the ferrets will keep them away.
and it worked as well. while we was rat free. houses on either side of us and the whole street where infested with them. took the council 2 years to get rid of them. I used to love handling them.
that video brings back some memories haha

Spent most of my youth out with the ferrets, a bag of nets and a spade!!
Moved on to Falcons and Hawks in later years but still love Ferrets.
My next door neighbour had some rats living under her decking. I fetched her a bucket of sawdust out of my mates Ferret Court and chucked it under the decking. The rats moved out over night and never came back.

sounds like my life, I hunted with mainly Harris hawks for donkeys years, bred my own and trained them, trained my 1st kestrel at about 12, even brought and trained a goldie.
Got some good memories of ferrets and harris hawks.

You cant beat a good Harris mate, love them.
I've hunted everything from Gos's to Peregrines and given the choice I'd choose a good day rabbiting with Harris's over all of them.
Ended up breeding Hybrids with AI for the Arab market but when I went into business I had no spare time for them anymore. My stock got sold to the big breeders and that was that.
The space where my pens were is now my (currently being extended) koi pond!!
