eBay Finds, Bargains, Interesting Items etc

Regularly see people asking in the wanted sections for items that are also on eBay very cheaply, so decided to start this thread for everyone to post up interesting pond and koi related items you have spotted on eBay.

    I'll start with a couple...

Never seen any filters like these before, but whatever they are, they are cheap:

Also been watching this Gin Matsuba, not sure exactly what to look for in these, but this one seems to stand out compared to others:

The filters are how koi pools were filtered back in the day !!

First vortex was for settling, then the next was filled with brushes, then Jap matting in a few more and Alfa grog in the last.

The rule of thumb was that the filter had to be a third of the surface area of the pond.

    Alex

Nexus 220 here, in South Shields.... Ends in 1 hour and no bids, just £400 and complete with the drain pipes, a true bargain for someone. If only something like this had come up in my area when I was looking, a £500 saving over new and looks almost as good as new:

That Nexus didn't sell, relisted here:

I reckon an offer of £380 cash with collection before Christmas and it would be yours....

If it was a 220 I'd have snapped it up, kept it and sold my new 220 for £500... That would have got me into a drum at half price!

A 300 won't fit in my filter pit, and I can't make the pit any wider due to fence and shed either side.

I already have a 320 nexus and draco drum. in my filter house. huge space needed. I would have put that in the place of my ultra sieve line [skimmer line ]. if I had the space. and ran x 2 for the bio side of things. plus the bonus would have been another draco drum

I feel that I have to leave a plug for this seller. Chloramine T, cheaper than I could find anywhere else, really friendly and helpful seller, £8.75 for 250 grams which is around a third to half the price of branded stuff:

This one isn't an eBay find, but instead a Koi I spotted on Queni Koi's website.

Tancho Ochiba, looks absolutely stunning in my eyes, and fair value for money:

after feeding QK japmix for 4 years i persuaded our lass to have a ride down with me a while back, and to be honest after the nearly 2hr drive i was disappointed,we spent 15 mins looking at ponds and left,no offer of a cuppa and guy on entry said hello and that was it,dont get me wrong nice place and beautiful koi,but its in the middle of knowhere, wife wasnt impressed i'd taken her sunday chill away from her either after she'd just done 4x12hr shifts, had the same thing years back when went to absolute, pulled in in our old 97 plate 306 and felt out of place, and when wife asked price of a 4" yami and got told £70 we soon left, think i will stick to my locals from now on,although i would like to visit uk nishikigoi just to see the upstairs ponds lol,,,,,andi
