    Cool New part`s

HI ALL , Just a bit of bad luck this week as the pond boiler broke down friday . I am running the pond at 15 and the covers are doing a good job , but the parts place dont have the part til monday, so what do you do . A/ hope for the best . or B/ take the part from your home boiler so that if it turns up late the koi don`t go cold , the part is a fan in a worcester boiler. well i told the wife when she got home friday tea time that the boiler was on the blink and the part will be here monday . so lets hope the part gets in soon.

It's really not all that cold for the time of year currently, so I reckon if you are well insulated you will be fine for a few days.

Having an electric backup heater can be worth considering for this kind of situation. If you imagine your boiler broke down when it was -8C outside for days on end and the pond was at 15 the fish would be in for a bit of a nasty shock.
I have a Proline submersible titanium heater for emergency use, although it's very undersized for the volume of my current pond.
