Just ordered a Seneye Pond Pack - love a gadget!

Yeah I saw that on various reviews - i reckon do the "chemistry set fortnightly to back up the Seneye.
Just like the idea of having a gadget on the pond! LOL
I do love the seneye despite its limitations - On one occasion I spotted from Egypt that our house sitter was over feeding and was able to head the problem off at the pass. Between watching the fish and the seneye I find that unless I perceive a problem I hardly need to do chemical tests - I might perhaps test monthly no more.
You need to test nitrite manually as the Seneye can't do this. Plus KH is another important one to manually monitor.
I love the Seneye for monitoring trends though.
Have you ordered the Seneye Web Server to go with it? You will need one if you don't want to leave a PC/laptop out by your pond all the time. I installed Ethernet cables to my filter house when I built it to plug the SWS into as I found the wireless dongley thing they recommended for it not very great and cannot get any signal through water.
Yes , bought the pond pack and it comes with it. I also only use Mac’s so need the web based interface

Hello All
I have been lazy and did not finish the pond Pre-winter. I hunkered down and fed myself!! Spring arrived though and over the last two weekends the pond is done!
It is full, pumps and filters are up and running and I have added the first seven Ogata Koi (bought from Koi Logic in Upminster - fantastic fish in there and superb staff!).
I have some work to do to finish some aesthetic stuff but I will post some pics tomorrow - probably on a new thread if that’s OK?
I am very impressed with the Oase lake skimmer - cleared the entire pond surface in about 30 mins.
I need to weight down my air stones and lines with a few rocks - who know that would move so easy!
Ended up having to change all the valves on the 5 bay filter - they all leaked!
Primed the filters with some Evolution Aqua Pure + and the next few weeks will be loads of water tests to track progress! That and finish the cover net framework to keep the fish safe!
Waffling now but watch this space for some pics!!!

Lovely fish Mode sure they will grow well in there for you.
HI All
Latest Water Test results:-
Temp 12degC
PH 7.8
Ammonium <.05 (zero I guess!)
Nitrite 0.2
Nitrate 5
O2 8
Phosphate 1.8!!!
So Phos is very high - I think this is common for new pond? Do I need to panic yet?
Also, have not hd the UV's on but now I know the filters are woroking (from the results above) I guess I should turn them on?
Comments Welcome!!!
Cheers!

I should say that I know the Uv will not lower the phosphate but will help with the algae which is clearly due!

Nice fish mate. Enjoy the pond and fish. It took my pond 2 years to fully mature. Feed sparsly to start with.
Keep testing your water parameters
Kh as well. Also at the taps. And keep water changing at least 10% a week. Use ST on water changes.
Especially when feeding. Thats the reason a lot of us trickle in and out.
Plus to keep water levels accurate
For filter levels. Enjoy it mate.

That's a clean looking Shusui and looks like the blue will stay.
Mine was similarly clean but covered in shimmies now, guessing due to my hard water. A real shame.
