Hopefully 2019 will be the year I don't need to do anything major - A bit of consolidating the changes I have made this year that's all.
    6000g in ground koi pond
    +3000g lily/Anoxic pond attached
    29 koi (40 to 65cm)
Bottom drain, Mid water & Skimmer to Drum
JBR boichamber->Blue eco 500 pump ->below surface return.
Blue Eco 240 -> Large MB -> Waterfall -> Planted Anoxic pond (25 baskets)

My plan for next year is to reduce the number of koi I have not increase it. As my smaller guys grow im in danger of being overstocked. Im not very good at letting koi go since they all have names, and the ones I would need to move on are not particularly attractive so it will be a challenge finding them a good new home

The pond itself is very nearly totally finished cosmetically, so next year will be all about the fish, and possibly getting a Japanese cloud tree for the patio

Save up and get heated ready for next year. Try and get the filters matured up and running well so I can start getting some fish in. Relax and enjoy the hobby and lifestyle of keeping koi and enjoying how easy it is

Save up for a ASHP and get my filters working efficiently. Then maybe an anoxic pond or possibly make a bakki river (think that's what they're called). Something to keep nitrates down. Then maybe more koi. Might have a go at bringing on a few fry, lot more reading required first.

Finish renovating my house and garden so I can sit and look at the fish and drink a few beers rather than look at the pond while I plod past it 10 times a day pushing a wheelbarrow...

Oh, and get my Koi in there too. That’d be nice. New Plans

For me. To keep the fish healthy
And be the best water keeper. I can be.
And grow a few little ones on.
