superfish eco rc 20,000, new faulty? reprogramme?
new pump delivered today to replace my smaller 10000 eco rc (identical) , wireless remote control has 10 setting, 1 being lowest...
setting 1 should be higher output than my old 10000 pump by nearly 2000ltr h yet its approx same setting as number 2 on my 10000, hardly anything ..
and it goes up steadily,, 10 on this 20000 doesnt seem much more than my 10000, guessing max flow appears around 12000 .
is this faulty or need programming ?
anyone with experience on this pump?
ive asked the business seller on ebay about the issue and no reply yet, a return case is open incase it cant be sorted easily..

Could you try pumping into a large container so you can actually measure the output?
The figures in the Absolute Koi link are totally different to those in the Koi Zone link. I think the Absolute Koi figures are for the 15000 pump.

that's correct they are for the 15000 pump.. only container I have is a 15 ltr builders bucket.
its clear from the water movement in the pond that their is something wrong with this pump...
first setting should be nearly 2000ltr more than my 10000 pump yet its only trickling through, setting 2 isn't much better, appears to jump up abit on 3, then continues a linear curve from viewing , but seems to be well short of 19500 claimed... water flowing in the pond in a circular flow appears only not much faster maybe a third at best..
will see if I can upload a video

Yep, I'd agree it looks pretty lame.
Maybe worth just checking the impeller hasn't got anything stuck there.
My Pontec 11000 is way more powerful than your video shows but one day it suddenly went down to a trickle. Assuming it was blocked I disconnected the pipe and couldn't find anything in the impeller, then when I reconnected it and switched on it was suddenly very powerful again and has been since. All I can guess is that there was some sort of airlock or a tiny piece of dirt wedged on the impeller magnet.
I want to buy exactly the same pump as you (on my eBay watch-list right now), so would be interested to find how you get on.
Here's your video embedded:

its been off once, nothing stuck inside that i could see..
dark now, will take it off again tomorrow and have another look with housing off.
its pretty useless setting 8-9 is equal to 10 on my 10000 pump .
the seller id avoid at all costs , messing me about from moment it was purchase.,,, said 4 instock (ebay id fins n things )
wasn't in stock, delivery day came no item arrived..
I had to chase him up.... item on back order
no apology
2 days later item arrives
tamper proof seal didn't actually leave any marking when removed seemed very odd to me..
pump sticker/label creased as though a young child had put it on...
my weir can lower another 2 inches .
pump took 10 mins to get working,, to start with settings 1 - 2 didn't work at all,, just clicking …. water level in sieve is approx. 28" above the pump before turning on.... had to set the pump flow at 8 then manually pumping the flex elbow with my hand despite water free flowing to the pump when I opened the double ball valve ..
my 10000 version is perfectly working , but owned for a few weeks .. a lot of member on here have superfish eco rc and never had issues... just my luck that I get a dud.
the 48 hour pick up and replace service is really useful to have ..

I've bought from fins n things a few times, never had issues with the actual items and they were cheapest for Saki-Hikari feeds.
eBay isn't user friendly for sellers (or buyers tbh) anymore so showing the right stock levels on listings is often not straightforward, but it doesn't sound like they managed it particularly well in your case.
A couple of the fish related sellers uses Yodel as courier and deliveries are always a total nightmare.
Either way, that flow looks too slow. You might be interested in this thread which does cover a couple of quality issues with the pump, also one person pointing out the flow seemed low but it never became a discussion point:

this is the sellers latest response - claiming noting wrong with the pump...
New message from: fins_n_things (5,845) The pump works fine. This has been confirmed. The reason you claim settings 1 or 2 don't work is because your pumping up the head height. The flow is restricted the higher it pumps because of back pressure / gravity etc. If there was a problem with the pump it wouldn't work on any settings.
This is normal for a setup like yours. There is nothing actually wrong with the pump. I believe its just not to your expectations.
I will speak with ebay Monday morning to resolve returning the one you have.
Thanks

I think you need to find a way to measure the output even if you can only do it for 30 seconds and then extrapolate to an hourly figure and compare it against manufactures figures Vs your head height.
The flow on the highest setting in your video appears slower than my cheap 10k lph pump. Head height on mine is around 1 metre via a 3 metre long 1.5" pipe run.
I really wanted to buy this pump and what you are seeing is putting me off. P.S the pump is cheaper through Koi Zone on eBay at £199 delivered.

video of my 10000 in perfect working order.. compare to 20000 video and you can see what I mean...
also you point out this 20000 pump when taking off was very warm to touch.

watching both videos, this so called 20,000 has a higher top output, but at setting 1 it clearly has a lower output than the 10000 version at setting 1.
when in fact setting 1 on 20000 pump should be around 2000 ltrs hr more than setting 10 on the 10000 pump..
all my pipes from sieve are 2" dia. and as short as possible with hardly any bends.
their is no claimed restrictions causing the issues as the seller claims , my pipe work at 2" will restrict the pump so yes it wont be able to reach 19500 ltrs but it wont cause the problems that are happening..
Every day feeding container?
Good shout, I'll have a look at Takazumi :)
