Pond Netting
Hi all
So, my pond is cleaned, filters sorted and ready to refill!
But, we have mink in and around our garden (a river runs through the garden) and we have herons also.
So, which netting would anyone recommend? Ideally something that is not too obtrusive to look at?
Any pics of your own netting installs would be great!!!
Thanks!!!

You could also look at a Motion Activated Sprinkler to scare them off

2 x Aerated Bottom Drains and Skimmer
Filtreau HiFlow 30 Drum Filter

Hi no nylon netting will stop a Mink the only thing I could suggest is some sort of metal type netting (chicken wire) or trapping them

Not the prettiest solution but nothing is getting in here, and even burglars would have a job when its padlocked down.
Powder coated 12 gauge steel sections with 2" square holes that slot into each other. You could add hinges to make it foldable, I've not got round to that just yet and simply pull out a section if I want unobstructed viewing.

I think the mesh will need to be smaller on mine but something rigid like that is what I was thinking!

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
