Hi Familyman, Yes I was surprised it came with continental plugs, my pool is 20000 litres my present bio
is a EB60 bead filter which needs backwashing every 3 days this time of year, so hoping the drum
will reduce this considerably. (It is a QK22 model)
May upgrade this to a moving bed in the future, but water parameters are always good and have been since
I installed this system in 2011 so I'm reluctant to change this.

Nice one mike
Are all the 3 sockets 2 pin?
I have a QK22 and it has 1x euro 2 pin or the wash pump and also 1x british 3 pin socket on it. Wonder why yours and davids larger model doesnt have a 3 pin also?

Hi Lee, Mine is the same model as yours a QK22. All three sockets are UK 3 pin versions.
Its just the plugs on the wash pump and main power in which are Euro 2 pin plugs.

(Just a bit concerned the detergent may not be too good for the koi)

New toy !
Ah that makes sense now mike yes mine has a 2 pin socket for the wash pump then 1x 3 pin for pump/uv etc... mine only has 2 sockets on it though which is strange given they are the same units ay. I might look at fitting an extra 3 pin to mine then
My main power in came with a 3 pin plug on also so another difference there too. Seems a bit wierd that ay. Either way they are cracking units and i rate mine highly, been running around 18 months now with very little issues. Only advise i can give is keep an eye on the waste tray, crud can build up at the back end but a quick flush through the screen with a hose pipe or bucket of water towards the back (closed end) shifts it oh and dont use rubber boots on the pressure side of the wash pump (outlet of pump to spray bar) i learnt the hard way and walked into a split boot and a very wet filter house ha ha 🤪

Hi Lee, I think Mine has three sockets because I upgraded it to include the 3 probe sensor system which is standard on the larger models.

Hi Lee, yes all plumbed in except for the wash pump as I need to get a couple more 1" pressure fittings to complete this.
It's running thru bypass at present ! All levels look okay, when pump is running water level is about 10mm below top of the waste cute and when pump is off it's level with the top of the chute.
Do you think this is okay ?

Bit more done today, I'm a bit concerned about the weatherproofing of the three sockets on the front of the control box as they are basically only conventional 13 amp sockets so not waterproof.
What do you guys think ?

My God that pipework looks complex.
What's the 4" one that goes back round into the filter?
