Clearly the wrong type of leaves!
You you could possibly run an extension to the spray bar so that it warps inside the drum with a spray head at the far end...
i will I'll try and grab some pics of what I mean by this..
To help get the leaves water wheeled up into the chute then a screen with the ribs set wider apart may do the trick.
not a cheap mod but maybe worth exploring.. you will need to check you get the right size screens.. I changed my screens into these.
have a a look at topzeven site.. they are real helpful...

Thanks Dave.
I’ve been thinking about trying to fit an extra spray nozzle at the top of the chute pointing down. Spent about 2 hours on the internet trying to find parts to do so.
If you could show me some photos that would be great.
I quite frequently spray the hose up the shute but just thought I was getting it all, from the photo you could see how compacted it was.
Only see few leaves in the pond every now and then so could’nt believe how much was in the drum. And none of that was visible without putting my phone underwater and having a look.

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
