Duncan Griffiths book
Hi all,
Thinking of treating myself to above book,is it really as good as everyone says?
I know Duncan is very knowledgeable on koi health and his forum is great, but is the book worth the nearly £50 inc post?
Or has anyone got one to sell?
Being cheeky now !!!

I would say yes, it is worth it. It has lots of colour photos which add to printing costs, but are very necessary.
A bit of the treatment info is slightly out of date, but still an excellent referrence book.2016 new 6000 gallon pond

Very good informative book. Ring bound so you don't lose the page you are on.
The only downside is some of the treatments are not available in this country anymore and unable to get hold of them.

It's even better value at £38.00 . Duncan has discounted his book to thirty eight quid including p&p for Christmas! There will be about £1.50 charge if you pay by PayPal but that still means his book is under £40.00 .
At that price, if I didn't already have two copies I'd buy another one

Duncan announced the offer on his FaceBook page. This is a special offer so you may have to contact him first to get the discount. You can either PM him via that site or go directly to KoiQuest and email him using the email address on the page.

And as for writing a book I keep thinking I would like to do that but I'm so busy teaching water stuff and helping people with problems that I don't see how I will ever be able to devote enough time to do it properly. Maybe next year.........

[QUOTE=john1;226861]Thank you all for your replies, seems like i am going for it,
One thing to remember is that the book has dosage rates in UK and US gallons, and it is very easy to look at the wrong dosage.
What I did was to go through the book and blank out all the US gallon dosages with black marker pen, so that I don't make any mistakes when treating.

Think yourself lucky, my wife treated me to a fabulous surprise 60th birthday party. She hired a venue with all the extra options including a disco that came complete with a strawberry and chocolate fountain. There was a balloon artist and very elaborate buffet food that kept coming all night. She bought a new dress and invited just about everyone I knew.
I was very surprised and impressed until I saw MY credit card bill. The costs were all listed separately and split into deposits and balance payments so I never dared add them all up to find the total cost. But she told me recently that just the disco and chocolate fountain alone cost nearly £800 and, of course the venue, balloon artist, food, her frock, my cake etc cost extra.
