    Urgent advice injury

Hello this morning I woke up to find my pump blocked when I pulled the pump out (submersible) I found my 7 inch Ochiba stuck against the pump inlet and now has a large suction mark and wound what is the best course of action to treat ? It would need to be dons tonight as I did not have time before work this morning all i could do was un stick the fish which swam away fine.

Never had this happen and all j can imagine was fish pushed each other around at bottom and got stuck this way

What kind of pump inlet do you have?
You might need to treat and seal the wound, depending on how deep it is. A photo would be helpful.

Treat topically with an anticeptic like mercuachrome spray (kusuri) and see how the fish progresses, but more importantantly the pump needs to be in a cage to stop this happening
    Hope that helps,
    Nigel

It has never happened before which is strange but have a new temporary tank in place which they are housed in at the moment but still cannot understand his the fish managed to get stuck when I have smaller fish that do fine

You may end up with a dead scale or two there- but I wouldn't be in a mad hurry to remove the scales just yet. A clean up with disinfectant and maybe some Propolis or similar over the area couldn't hurt.
