    Sad news....

    For those (like me) who didn't know, this years' MKA koi show has been cancelled but it hopes to be back next year.

    For info.... Koi Carp Club - Welcome to the Midland Koi Association in the UK


    1630 Gallon raised pond
    4" 'Avenue' bottom drain
    Estro sieve
    Econobead EB60 bead filter
    Sequence 18000 pump, 6000 pump on skimmer line
    Elecro 2kW in-line heater
    Evolution Aqua 70 air pump
    Standard wall skimmer
    Hozelock Vorton 55watt UV
    and some nice koi

    Shame really, it is a nice little show at a great venue.
    I have been the last two years and was looking forward to going this year. The attendance was poor last year due to the weather forecast but we still had a great time.

    Do you think the increase in water meters are killing off the enthusiasm for some people to get into this hobby?

    I know if I had to have one, I'd fill in my pool.

    I don't think so really. I have a meter (no choice, new build house) and I don't worry about water usage at all. Although to be fair, I wouldn't run a trickle in/out setup probably for that reason!

    But overall, given the other costs of the hobby, water is probably the cheapest.

    Out of all the events the one nearest me is cancelled!!!! Fantastic:-(
