    Hi Dave,

thats my type of showa very similar to one I have, is this going to make it to the main pond? And the million dollar question is the showa female?
Would be good to see this koi in four to five years time

    well done

    Thanks Jason

I am hopeful that we are female..

Main pond; hopefully... maybe another 12 months in the growing on to get her to 60 first, but a little split on this as natural light is so important to the development of the beni... But with Showa you never know, a lot can happen...but a reasonable building block to keep me out of mischief..

    Very very nice

Most of my koi are "average" at best and to be honest i,m now a bit of a mixed pond guy

I remember first seeing a Showa with a pattern like that at Algarth koi a number of years ago , albeit a lot bigger and i asked the price ....£350 .

It was sold a week later .

My kind of Showa for sure .

The japanese word "Kashira" means "wonder", when talking koi it simply means the number one/best of the bunch.

Thanks for the nice words Guys..

George; it is, I think the number 1 of the crew in terms of overall package, Sashi is untidy and I wish it had the frame of a couple of the others, but the die is cast and all the wishing is not going to change things

Even in my dreams that isn't going to happen with this fish Nik...

I am retaining a couple and there will be at least two in the pot for the g&s wild cards that should get big... But for a Showa to get to 80 is some mighty tough task..
