Could have the hallmarks of a Showa, but a bit hard to tell to be honest

Im not shore really but it could be a sanke or a Showa. The orange on the koi would normally be red and the white would be stronger but it may just be a lower grade koi thats why the colours arnt as strong.

It shouldn't be about type, if you like it (as I do) then that's good enough.

I agree there!! As I ve said before, NONE of mine would win a prize, BUT I LOVE THEM and thats all that matters. I think yours is lovely x :)

Looking at the large scales down it's back and the light orange colouring with the rest of the markings it may be a doitsu kujaku mix

I Like Koi With Ca-rector I Have Two Of My Collection That Are Unbelievably Tame I Can Feed Them Off A Spoon Stroke Them And One Of Them Has Started To Make A Noise When She Sees Me . They Have No Table Manners The Noise They Make When Eating Is Unbelievable In The Warm Weather Of Coarse. I Find The More You Sit By Them When You Feed Them And Stay There The Tamer They Become. My Friends Koi Wont Eat While He Is There They Are So Use To Him Putting The Food In And Then Going Away .

How about a kin kikokuryu (although I guess it is a mix), it's about the nearest I can find to fit the description

dont know what it is,but I can honestly say all my koi would win prizes in a show,as long as no one else turned up and I was the judge hahahahaha, andi

Tiny photo but looks metallic so maybe a kin Showa, better photo would allow for a more accurate id
