Pond lillies
I have decided to get shut of my pond lillies and the baskets as the buggers keep upon digging them out and the pond floor is a mess again....
I borrowed a pond vac not so long ago but the guy as broken it so now i will have to find a solution into cleaning it all up.....
My mate was right about koi n plants "dont bother the koi will destroy the baskets" yep he was correct....

You could try putting garden mesh over the top of the baskets . The lillies will grow through the holes and the koi wont be able to get at the soil . (works for me) .
Also , I happen to have an unused pondovac 2 , which I`m selling for a friend , if your interested .Colin

Take a look at my video on how I plant water lillies. I have several large baskets in my pond now with them in and it looks great in summer. Not one Koi has bothered with them since I came up with this method. Anyway, hope this helps:
